Common Painting Touch-Ups We Do
- Scuffs, marks, and worn spots on walls and ceilings
- Repainting after drywall repair (patch blending / spot paint)
- Trim & baseboards: nicks, shoe marks, small scratches
- Doors & frames: fingerprints, chips near handles and hinges
- Small wall sections, corner wear, light accent fixes
When a Touch-Up Works Best (and When It Won’t)
Touch-ups work great when the surrounding paint is in decent condition and the goal is to fix a small, localized issue. If the original paint has faded heavily, or the area has strong sunlight reflection, you may see “flashing” (a slight difference in look) even with the correct color—especially with higher sheens.
- Best for: newer paint, small damage, isolated marks, trim touch-ups
- May need a larger blend/repaint: older walls, heavy sun exposure, strong sheen differences
How We Get a Better Match: Color + Sheen
A good touch-up isn’t only about color—sheen matters (flat/matte, eggshell, satin, semi-gloss). Higher sheens reflect more light and can highlight wall imperfections, while lower sheens hide flaws better but can be less washable. We check both color and finish so the repaired area blends as naturally as possible.
- Color check: we compare under room lighting (natural + indoor)
- Sheen check: matching flat vs eggshell vs satin vs semi-gloss
- Spot prime when needed: helps prevent “dull patch” or stain bleed
- Blend technique: feathering and proper rolling/brushing to reduce a hard edge
Note: touch-ups are never 100% “guaranteed invisible” on every wall—paint can fade over time, and lighting angles change how a finish looks. But we aim for the cleanest blend possible.
Our Painting Touch-Up Process
Pricing & Fast Scheduling
Pricing depends on: size of the area, number of spots, access (high ceiling vs standard), surface condition, and whether it’s walls vs trim/doors. For a quick estimate, send:
- 1–2 photos (wide + close-up)
- room location (living room, hallway, bathroom, etc.)
- paint brand/code if you have it (helpful but not required)
If you also need wall repair first, see Drywall Repair—we often pair patching + paint touch-up for a complete finish.
